THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY…

During a recent trip to some of my thrift shops, I spotted this beautiful piece

Swoon Worthy Boutique 012

looks great, right?!  Okay so I didn’t get it.  Why?  Because right now I’m not sure about what’s a good deal on a piece like this because I’ve never purchased anything of this size.  So I ask you, what is the most you will be willing to spend on a piece like this in it’s current condition?  I may just have to bite the bullet and run back and get it.  Looing at it now makes me want it even more.  Can’t you see it looking like these:

RESERVED FOR abbyrob1 VIntage Painted Cottage Shabby White Fancy China Cabinet CC104

(one of my favorites from Gilly Grey above!)

Well, maybe it didn’t get away.  I left it and it may possibly be there tomorrow if I change my mind!

So tell me, should I go back and get it?!

I'm sure it is probably an expensive piece and I'm in cheap mode right now, I personally wouldn't pay more than $200 for it. I'm sure it is probably worth more than that...as long as it is a sturdy piece...legs in good condition, etc.

If it is in your budget, I say go get it!!

I saw a piece similar to that in goodwill this past weekend and it was going for $200. Maybe you can see Irtysh are willing to lower the price. Don't ever be afraid to haggle.

Dang auto correct. It should say "you can see if they are willing...."

Well,it depends on the price and the time you would have to put into it. I found a beautiful sheraton style china cabinet at a thrift stop I got for $60. It needed some very minor repair and the finish was damaged so it was the perfect candidate to paint, which I did. I currently have it in my shop for $375, but no takers yet!

In good (fixed up, painted) condition, I would be willing to pay at least $300-400 for this piece.
