WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO…

With my boys being on summer break, its hard for me to balance my 3 blogs, but I have been working!  Here are a few pieces that I’m working on

french side table before

This little French table was love at first sight!  This style is probably my favorite style furniture EVER!

I decided to use one of my “oops” paint colors on her…

Meet “Belle”

She’s painted a beautiful coral! The pull will be painted white.  By the way, do you see my business card?

Swoon Worthy Boutique Business Cards

OMG, I can not say how much I love them!!! The colors, the size (my cards are euro size) and the weight is great! I’ll say it again, I LOVE THEM! Thanks Abby!

Another piece that I started on is this little vintage desk I found a few weeks ago

vintage desk before3

It was pretty beat up.  I thought it would be nice painted in chalkboard paint since it’s a desk.  Again, I pulled out my “oops” paint in which I had a can of chalkboard paint that was mixed but then the person didn’t purchase it…SCORE! This chalkboard paint is a beautiful shade of teal

Meet “Jaime”

I decided to distress her.  It just seemed to fit her better.  What I realized with painting furniture is that the piece itself will speak to you.  I never in a million years thought that I would distress a piece for my business…

I still need to finish the “feet” of the desk, but she’s pretty much done!

And with these side tables

“Eden and Ella”

I painted one a pretty turquoise

But the more I look at them, I feel they need to be another color… And perhaps I need to use that famous Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! We’ll seeSmile

*Side Note* You may notice that I have named each piece.  I am a HUGE fan of Barb and her furniture from Knack Studios.  I told myself that once I got up the nerves to start my own business, I would name my pieces too! So, am I a copy cat?  Yeah, but I like the words “inspired by” betterWinking smile

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Love them all, but the turquoise table is my favorite! We were heading out to run errands over the weekend and one of my neighbors was having a yard sale. She had 2 tables that looked just like the turquoise table, so I made hubby turn around and go back. I pulled up your blog & was showing hubby your table saying that I had to have them so I could paint them like Lakeitha's.

As I was walking up to them, the lady said I could have them for FREE. I nearly fainted. Then I got close to them and the bottom shelf and legs were COVERED in mildew. I was just sick. My allergies are just too bad for me to consider getting them.

I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for more.

I LOVE that you are naming your pieces. It will also help with your inventory. So excited for you!

Love the names of your babies. ;-) As much as I love all things turquoise/aqua/teal these days, I do believe the coral side table is my fave. Great job!

I am your newest follower! I got here via Miss Mustard seed's Link Party...

I found an IDENTICAL table as your "Belle" last Sunday at Goodwill. It had already "suffered" from someone trying to paint it with what looks like craft paint. (I am guilty of this in the past).
My first stop was to get a sample can of Valspar paint in Turquoise!
I stumbled on a new can of Devil Red paint at an Estate Sale yesterday...I CAN"T WAIT to see if mine turns out half as sweet as yours!

What kind of paint did you use on the teal table? What colors mixed?
