TURQUOISE LOVE…

I wanted to share a sneak peek of the side tables with you! I must admit, these are a pain when it comes to painting. The legs are what killed me. I happy with the outcome, but with my boys being home on summer break, I was only able to finish one.

I decided to try a little distressing. Maybe I’ll try this technique a little moreWinking smile

The big question now is should I keep the original hardware or should I replace them. I personally like original hardware.

The hardest part about starting a business like this one is that I want to keep everything! I think these would look great in my family room!

What do you think?!

BUSY WORKING

Last week I mentioned that I found two bi-level side tables at a thrift store

They’re actually in pretty good condition (but they were filthy!). I ‘ve already started working on them

But for some reason I’m still undecided on the color. I was going to do a really pretty turquoise (Drizzle by Sherwin Williams), but then I thought a pretty green would be cool too!

The turquoise above is different from the one I would use, but the piece is still fabulous!

Which one do I choose?! I’m loving both colors right now. I must say that even though the tables only have primer on them, they already look MUCH better!

PROPS HAVE THEIR PLACES…RIGHT?

I have a lot to do to take this blog (and my business) to the level I dream of.  I see a lot of bloggers that reveal their finished pieces (of furniture) with a little bit of styling going on with the photos.

Anywho, I came across these and thought immediately that they would be perfect in a photo with (insert whatever here).

My SIL thought they were great.  I thought they were great.  But really, what would I use them for when it comes to using them as a “prop”?  They were $6 for the set and in vintage condition which really means a little beat up but still capable of being loved! I probably should have just gotten them, but I need all the space I can get for my furniture collection.  Speaking of furniture collection, look at what else I found!

At another store I scored a pair of these bi-level end tables! The condition is pretty perfect if you ask me and I think they’ll look great after I finish with them.  I need to figure out a good color… Black? Turquoise? Coral?

Hmm…Hopefully I’ll figure out a color before the weekend.  I want these done by Monday!
