THE FRENCH LADY

I know you've seen her everywhere. Who is she? She is your grandmothers buffet, your old bedroom dresser, or maybe she is sitting in your garage because you don't know what to do with her. She is found all over Craigslist because her owners don't appreciate her. All she needs is a good cleaning, a can of paint, and new jewelry and she will be good as new. I call her

The French Lady

French Provincial furniture is probably one of my all time favorite styles of vintage furniture. I love the curvy lady-like lines of the furniture. This style dresser has been seen almost everywhere. Here are a few before and afters that are certainly Swoon Worthy:

Miss Mustard Seed decided to go with a traditional look for her dresser. I'm loving the dark walnut stained top with the white body

Michelle (Three Men and a Lady) went Modern with her dresser with a fun yellow and new pulls for the drawers

The talented Holly (Life in the Fun Lane) decided to go with what she calls a "french antique" look. she sanded some areas and added new drawer pulls.

I've been Swooning over these lady's lovely transformations for quite some time now. I've been searching Craig's List and Goodwill with no luck until.....

I found one!!!

Stay tuned for the transformation! And If you have any Swoon worthy transformations of vintage furniture, email me so I can showcase it here.

Hurray! Congratulations on your new blog! I look forward to seeing what you have planned! I also have an entire French Provincial bedroom suite that I scored at an estate sale with big plans in mind. It still sits unfinished but you're inspiring me to get busy. :)

Have a great week!

Do you know what kind of wood these babies were made of? My girlfriend and I refinished one she got when she was a kid, and gave it to her daughter this weekend.
